Subscriber, has it
already been two weeks? Yes it has! We've
been so busy posting the latest news at our
companion website, www.RotaryBlast.com, we've lost track of
time. If you haven't seen it yet, you
should! We've set it up so our clubs can post
information directly and instantly (after logging
in), for the entire District -- and world to
see! I think we'll soon be seeing a lot of club
events, fundraisers, projects, and announcements
there. And don't forget DG Frazer's blog, now also on the District
Website, where you can "borrow" ideas from other clubs to use
in your club. -- Ken Ivey

I have just been made aware of a project sponsored by the
new Rotary Club in Costa Mesa, California. They are soliciting
the help of Rotary Clubs throughout the nation to help them
honor the children of fallen soldiers in early December of
this year. Their plan is to bring the child(ren) and surviving
parent or guardian to Orange County, California, for a holiday
party and trip to Disneyland. I thought your club might be
interested in participating in this innovative program. For
more info, go to www.snowballexpress.org. If you
do decide to participate, please let me know as soon as
possible. I have been contacted by a company in Nashville that
is interested in lending support to the Snowball Express
project.....and there might be others. div>

LATE BREAKING NEWS
Change of inbound dates for
RFE:
Our contact and
D9470 (Western Australia) Friendship Exchange Officer Roy
Hamilton tells me their group now has elected to make the trip
to D6760 in April 2007. Specifically, we expect the group of
approximately 9 couples and 2 singles to arrive April 15 or
16, 2007 in Nashville. We believe the duration will be
approximately two week, which we will split evenly between
Middle and West TN.
More later as plans are finalized
during our outbound trip to WA in Oct. 2006.
