Since 2000, Larry Boyd has been a partner in Boyd Promotions, LLC, a promotional
advertising, marketing and graphic design firm prior
to his involvement with Boyd Promotions, Larry spent 32 years as a project
engineer and in purchasing for Genesco, Johnston & Murphy and Georgia Boot.
Larry is a native of Danville, Kentucky, a graduate of Georgia Tech (1966).
After serving as an officer in the U.S. Army (1966-1969) and being stationed in
Germany, he returned to Nashville. Larry has been active in Rotary for 25 years,
a charter member and president of the Nashville South Rotary Club and charter
member and charter president of the Brentwood Morning Rotary Club. He was
selected as “Rotarian of the Year” in each club. He has served as a Governor’s
Representative (2 times) and an Assistant Governor (3 times) and on various
District Committees. Larry has 25 years perfect attendance, is a Paul Harris
Fellow, a charter member of the Paul Harris Society and a graduate of the
initial Rotary Leadership Academy class. A graduate of Leadership Brentwood
(2000) and Brentwood Citizen’s Police Academy (2006), Larry has been active in
various community projects and events. He has served on the Resource Committee
for the Martin Senior Citizen’s Center, as an advisor to Junior Achievement and
a coach in youth athletics. Active in his church, Larry is a deacon and ministry
leader at the Hillsboro Church of Christ. Larry and his wife Roxann have two
grown children (Ryan Boyd and Amy Spann) and four grandchildren.
