Pinnacle -Service Above Self !

Personhood - The few who invest their best abilities, their best time, and their inner strength (soul?) in leadership for service to others become known for the influence for good that pervades their lives.  They reach full personhood.

Personal Investment - Not many leaders reach this level.  The difference between these leaders and other folks is self-sacrifice.  It requires one to deepen relationships with other club members, even to the point of placing needs of others before your own; it is genuinely serving others.

Production - Now talk must become action.  Consistently leaders at this level must understand the club’s goals, ask others to join in the work, and enter the "playing field" themselves with vigor and enthusiasm.  They must do their assignments well and in timely fashion.  These people produce results.

Permission - To reach this second level, a Rotary member must have gained some influence upon fellow members by beginning to develop a relationship with them.  People who know you, often look to you for leadership.  At this level fellow members follow specific people based upon their knowledge of them rather than merely acknowledging someone who occupies a particular position.

Position - The mere fact that you have been selected for membership in Rotary means that you have demonstrated leadership in your profession and community ... and it means that you have an opportunity for leadership in your Rotary Club.  Initially that may mean chairing a committee or assuming an elective office.  You will lead others because of the position you hold.

 The Rotary Leadership Pyramid

One does not ascend the Leadership Pyramid without passion for Rotary service or without establishing personal priorities.
